The Federal Drug Control Administration participated in the exhibition held in the city of Kalba, Sharjah, titled Cohesive Family and Community. The exhibition coincides with the UAE’s celebrations of the 51st National Day, and comes in cooperation with the Supreme National Committee for Prevention of Drugs (Siraj).
The Pavilion of the Federal Drug Control Administration welcomed a large number of visitors, both citizens and residents, and briefed the visitors on the important role of parents and the family in protecting children from drugs. The exhibition included panel discussions, events, activities and competitions aimed at developing the skills of parents and children in prevention of drugs.
Visitors were also invited to call the free Mukafeh service (80044) to learn about the harms of drugs and ways to help out victims of addiction. The service enhances the role of parents in discovering early cases of abuse in the family, and ways to confidentially and safely deal with them.
