The Ministry of Interior (MoI) Innovation Center at the General Directorate of Strategy and Performance Development launched a training program to qualify leaders for innovation management assessment teams in the Ministry. The participants will receive the innovation management assessment team leader certification as per the TS-16555-1 standard on Innovation Management System training. The training program is organized in cooperation with Lloyd’s Register, UK.

Brigadier Mohammed Hamid Dalmouj Al Dhaheri, Secretary-General of the Office of His Highness the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, noted the importance of disseminating and establishing the culture of innovation, and catalyzing generation to exert more efforts and work innovatively. He said that we are talking today in the UAE about Artificial Intelligence (AI), development, digital revolution and ways to implement the visions of our leadership that believe in innovation as a main tool to achieve development and increase competitiveness. He mentioned that the attention paid to innovation and how to make it a priority and a base for all projects and initiatives comes in implementation of the wise leadership directives stipulating that innovation is not the duty and mission of the leadership alone; it is in fact the duty and responsibility of all.

The program includes seven training courses, and aims to promote the culture of innovation in the institutional work environment, and keep pace with the latest developments in relation to innovation. 105 recruits from all sectors at the MoI and police general headquarters in the UAE will participate in the program. 

Brigadier Al Dhaheri said that development, advancement and happiness cannot be realized unless the culture and skills of innovation and future foreseeing are implemented because this allows us to keep pace with the modern age, and makes us capable of facing its challenges and changes. He noted that the realm of creativity and innovation is not limited to individuals, but also covers institutions and governments, and investing in competencies and human resources is the actual capital of development and advancement.
