A key component of the initiative is the Global Hub on AI for Safer Children, a collaborative digital space that connects child protection professionals, technologists, and law enforcement entities around the world. As of January 2025, the Global Hub has grown to include over 1,100 members from 120 countries, showcasing its wide international reach. More than 50 technology providers have contributed to the initiative by offering over 90 innovative AI tools, including solutions for detecting online child sexual abuse material (CSAM), flagging harmful content, and facilitating victim identification.
Through this dynamic partnership, the Ministry of Interior and UNICRI are working hand in hand to set international benchmarks for AI use in child protection, while emphasizing the importance of ethical deployment and responsible innovation.
