The first event of the Ministry of Interior under the UAE Innovates 2021 has started today as part of the festival which runs from February 21 until February 27 across the UAE. The Ministry organized a virtual lecture titled "Necessity vs. Opportunities: When is the Right Time to Innovate," presented by Caroline Borthwick, Executive Director at Afaq Leadership Development and Cesar Moukarzel, Senior Manager of Government Consulting at Sia Partners Middle East. Speakers talked about best practices in adopting innovative opportunities in development projects, and enhancing community participation in designing and developing experiments, initiatives and future projects, in addition to the "Gamification" workshop which demonstrates how far innovative methods can help in developing work.
The Ministry's activities, supervised by the Ministry of Interior's Center for Innovation, will contiuue till the end of this week and includes specialized lectures, technical manufacturing workshops and interactive laboratories which are aimed at attracting ideas, initiatives and innovations. Events will also include the opening of the Ministry's laboratory for new innovation, organizing panel discussions as well as distinctive initiatives that bolster the concepts and culture of innovation, and encourage designing ideas to achieve leadership and excellence in work.
