Coordination meeting between Police Sports Association and UAE Shooting Federation

The Ministry of Interior's Police Sports Association convened a coordination meeting with the UAE Shooting Federation in Dubai to explore avenues for bolstering collaborative efforts in organizing sports tournaments and discussing international regulations governing shooting sports. In attendance were key figures including Sheikh Ahmed bin Mohamed bin Hasher Al Maktoum, President of the Emirates Shooting Federation; Brigadier General Mohamed Humaid bin Dalmuj Al Dhaheri, Secretary General of the Office of HH the Minister of Interior and Chairman of the Police Sports Association Council; and Brigadier Dr. Omar Mohamed Al Khayal, Director of the Police Sports Association Directorate and Chairman of the Sports Committee of the Ministry of Interior.
The meeting also saw the participation of officials from the UAE Shooting Federation and officers from the Ministry of Interior. Discussions centered around refining strategic plans and objectives for jointly organizing and preparing annual shooting tournaments, augmenting local and international participation to represent the nation across various platforms, and reviewing international regulations governing the sport. Efforts were also directed towards formulating policies aimed at attracting national talent and nurturing skilled individuals. Sheikh Ahmed bin Mohamed bin Hasher Al Maktoum emphasized the significance of such coordination meetings in establishing a unified framework for organizing sports tournaments at the national level. He underscored the strategic partnership with the Ministry of Interior as pivotal in expanding the sport of shooting and promoting a culture of sports within the community. Brigadier General Mohamed Humaid bin Dalmuj Al Dhaheri reiterated the Ministry of Interior's unwavering commitment to cooperating with and supporting the Association in organizing tournaments and enhancing participation in both local and international competitions. Additionally, he highlighted the importance of knowledge exchange and expertise-sharing in preparing annual tournaments for Ministry employees, aimed at enhancing their physical and mental capabilities to achieve optimal levels of readiness.
