Represented by the Department of Strategy and the Future, the Ministry of Interior organized a workshop via video conference technology, to update the strategic plan (2023-2026), for the Directorate General of Federal Central Operations. The workshop also discussed future plans, directions, policies and challenges to keep pace with the preparation plan for the fiftieth and the Ministry’s methodology during the next 50 years.

Representatives from the Directorate General of Federal Central Operations, and the Central Operations Departments in the General Police HQs across the country also participated in the workshop.

At the beginning of the workshop, Lt-Col. Ali Sultan Al Nuaimi, Director of the Department of Strategy and the Future, reviewed the strategic direction of the Ministry and the preparation for the fiftieth, as well as the plans and regulations that were developed within the stages of future foresight, and linking future directions and policies to the centenary of the UAE.

It also reviewed potential challenges and difficulties, developing appropriate solutions to them, and ensuring readiness to roll out smart services that keep pace with future developments by achieving speedy access and response to ensure enhanced security and safety.

Lt-Col. Al Nuaimi explained that the Ministry of Interior adopts a proactive approach in foreseeing future challenges and variables within its strategic plans. It also seeks, through the efforts made, to keep pace with current developments, and to draw up appropriate plans for the next stage by employing artificial intelligence technology and harnessing modern technologies in operations, communication and providing services to all segments of community.
