Chairing UAE's Police Chiefs Council: Dhahi Khalfan Commends Abu Dhabi Police for Traffic Awareness Efforts
Lieutenant General Dhahi Khalfan Tamim, Deputy Chief of Police and Public Security in Dubai, Chairman of the UAE Police Chiefs Council, has lauded the Abu Dhabi Police General HQ's efforts in promoting traffic awareness through social media. He urged drivers to comply with traffic rules and refrain from violations. Lt. Gen. Tamim also directed all police HQs across the country to follow the Abu Dhabi Police's example and actively contribute to fostering awareness and a culture of safe driving among motorists.
Emphasizing the role of media, Lt. Gen. Tamim underscored the importance of showcasing the dedicated efforts of police officers across various security domains within the country. He called upon media outlets to highlight these endeavors, both domestically and internationally, to showcase the nation's progressive stance in the field of road security and safety.
Additionally, Lt. Gen. Dhahi Khalfan Tamim called for the automation of criminal investigation methods at the national level, aiming to standardize the recording and monitoring of information at crime scenes. This automation is intended to streamline the identification of repeat offenders.
These directives were issued during Lt. Gen. Tamim's chairmanship of the State Police Command Council meeting, conducted remotely and attended by police commanders, senior officers, and officials from the Ministry of Interior. The meeting addressed various key topics, including strategic indicators for 2023, the criminal investigation methods questionnaire, and the development of a comprehensive plan in coordination with relevant authorities at the Ministry of Interior to enhance the effectiveness of investigators and criminal reporting procedures.
The Council also examined the K9 security inspection policy, with a focus on standardizing terminology and definitions for K9 security inspection organizational units in police commands. The aim is to elevate the quality of work and professionalism in managing K9 organizational unit operations.
Additionally, the Council delved into updates from the Communities Committee at the Ministry of Interior, the latest developments in combating money laundering crimes, and various other significant agenda items. Decisions of special significance were made regarding these matters.
