MOI Showcases Role of AI in Behavioral Violations at 2nd Legal Forum 2025
The Ministry of Interior, represented by the General Directorate of Police Judiciary, took part in the Second Legal Forum 2025, hosted by the Abu Dhabi Police General HQs. The forum was held in collaboration with the Ministry of Justice, the Dubai Police General HQs, and the Abu Dhabi Judicial Department, bringing together a distinguished group of legal experts and specialists from across government entities. The event reflects ongoing national efforts to harness the potential of AI in the legal field, explore global best practices in legal consultancy, legislative drafting, and expand the scope of electronic legal services.
On this occasion, Colonel Dr. Majid Ahmed Al Mansouri, Director of the Technical Office Department at the General Directorate of Police Judiciary, presented a working paper entitled Artificial Intelligence in Behavioral Violations. His presentation shed light on how AI technologies can transform the way disciplinary violations are managed within the Ministry of Interior by analyzing large volumes of data, streamlining information processing, and offering precise procedural insights that strengthen governance, efficiency, and effectiveness.
Colonel Al Mansouri explained during the forum that AI has become a key tool in administrative investigations related to disciplinary violations. It assists in identifying and analyzing patterns of improper behavior based on advanced standard models. It also contributes to prediction and monitoring by tracking overall performance and assessing the progress of procedures, ensuring that violations are handled with flexibility and transparency before final decisions are issued.
The working paper also highlighted the role of artificial intelligence in providing legal advice to employees through quick and accurate access to relevant laws and decisions. It emphasized the importance of electronically linking data and information derived from the Ministry of Interior’s programs and systems with its strategic partners, thereby improving the efficiency of procedures and providing comprehensive and reliable databases. It further underlined the contribution of these technologies to awareness and training efforts through smart education systems that enable employees to better understand patterns of violations and methods for addressing them, thus enhancing operational efficiency and reducing errors.
