MOI rolls out the Spokesperson Course in cooperation with Trends Research

The Ministry of Interior, through the Security Media Department within the General Directorate of Security Support, has partnered with the Trends Center for Research and Consultation to inaugurate the Spokesperson’s Course. This course is scheduled to run from October 30 to the end of November and boasts the participation of 33 officers from various departments and sectors within the Ministry, as well as leaders in the general police force of the country. 

 The course curriculum, hosted at the Trends Center's headquarters, encompasses a range of theoretical lectures. Topics covered include visual and spoken language and their interplay, the intricacies of body language, its significance and different forms, reading skills, the ability to improvise and project a positive mental image during crises, narrative and writing skills, and voice modulation techniques. 

 Moreover, the program features practical exercises to help participants overcome stress and fear when facing others in high-pressure situations. It provides hands-on training on drafting press releases, the art of public speaking, various interview techniques, the skills required by an official spokesperson for effective crisis management, conducting press conferences and media interviews, public speaking, and workshops to prepare the official spokesperson for on-site camera presentations at events. Brigadier Saeed Hussein Al Khaja, Deputy Director General of Security Support, expressed his satisfaction with the collaboration with Trends for this course. He emphasized the significant role of scientific research and training in enhancing and strengthening human capabilities. 

The Ministry of Interior's commitment to integration, cooperation, and knowledge exchange with research centers and other institutions underscores its dedication to advancing the development efforts of its members for the betterment of the country and society. Dr. Mohamed Abdullah Al-Ali, CEO of Trends, commended the Ministry of Interior’s dedication to scientific research and its commitment to empowering its staff with the latest international training and development methods. 

This course aligns with the agreement signed between the two parties, fostering the exchange of experiences and the dissemination of knowledge that shapes the future. It also reflects Trends' commitment to strengthening research and scientific partnerships with major, active institutions and organizations.
