MOI Showcases Human Rights Efforts at the 12th INTERPOL World Conference

The Ministry of Interior actively participated in the 12th INTERPOL World Conference on Human Trafficking and Migrant Smuggling, held in Belgrade, Serbia. Brigadier Expert Dr. Hamad Rashid Al Zaabi, who led the Ministry’s delegation, presented the UAE National Committee’s strategy to combat human trafficking, along with the Ministry’s broader human rights efforts and initiatives.
Dr. Al Zaabi outlined the UAE’s legal framework and the advanced mechanisms in place for identifying and protecting victims of human trafficking. He also highlighted a specific human trafficking case, discussing the Ministry’s response, lessons learned, and how these insights have bolstered its role in fulfilling both national and international commitments.
Through partnerships and alignment with international agreements, the Ministry aims to protect and promote victims’ rights, advancing efforts to uphold human dignity and security.
