Major General Khalifa Hareb Al Khaili, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Interior, has honored a group of media professionals and hosts in recognition of their efforts that ensured the success of the Ministry’s councils. The tribute acknowledges their vital role in moderating and organizing panel discussions that addressed significant social, security, and humanitarian themes.
Speaking at the ceremony, Major General Al Khaili stated that the gesture reflects the Ministry’s appreciation for their distinguished community and media engagement. He emphasized that it also embodies the Ministry’s conviction in the importance of partnership with media institutions and community organizations to deepen public awareness and enhance constructive communication. He noted that the Ramadan councils have evolved into an influential national forum that promotes the values of tolerance, civic responsibility, and good citizenship; values that align with the wise leadership’s directives and the UAE’s vision of a secure, united society.
Al Khaili expressed gratitude to those honored for their commitment to supporting the Ministry’s mission and for effectively delivering its social messages across all community segments. Their collective effort and spirit of teamwork, he said, were instrumental in the achievements of the Ramadan councils.
The event, attended by Major General Salem Ali Al Shamsi, Assistant Undersecretary for Resources and Support Services, alongside department directors and invited guests, concluded with Major General Al Khaili presenting certificates of appreciation. He conveyed the Ministry’s pride in their active involvement, which helped realize the initiative’s humanitarian and societal goals.
A video presentation was also shown, tracing the development of the Ministry’s councils and spotlighting the outcomes of their latest sessions, stressing their role as a leading community dialogue platform. Colonel Dr. Saif Salem Al Khuraibani Al Nuaimi, Deputy Director General of Community Protection and Crime Prevention, expressed his gratitude to all partners in this success, media figures, hosts, teams from all police general HQs, and representatives from public and private entities, whose collaboration contributed to fulfilling the councils’ noble objectives.
Al Nuaimi noted that the Ministry’s councils have established themselves as a valuable annual venue for open discussion and the sharing of insights between specialists and community members. Their continued growth, he added, mirrors the Ministry’s strategic approach to strengthening community partnership and embedding a culture of prevention, awareness, and positive engagement with the public.
Colonel Sultan Hareb Al Ketbi, Director of the Law Respect Culture Bureau at the General Directorate of Community Protection and Crime Prevention, highlighted that these councils serve as an exemplary platform for dialogue between policymakers and diverse segments of society. He pointed out that they have helped build bridges of trust and foster meaningful collaboration with national and community institutions.
Al Ketbi added that the councils exemplify the Ministry’s model of direct, two-way communication, a framework that enables it to listen to community perspectives, gather constructive feedback, and translate these insights into improved performance, enhanced services, and sustained institutional excellence.
