MOI Holds Workshop on “Community Initiatives for 2025”
The General Directorate of Community Protection and Crime Prevention at the Ministry of Interior, in collaboration with police commands and strategic partners across the UAE, hosted a comprehensive workshop on Community Initiatives for the Year 2025.
The workshop aimed to outline impactful initiatives that support strategic goals, elevate police work, and strengthen community security and protection. The workshop was led by Brigadier Sultan Ahmed Bouataba Al Zaabi, Director General of Community Protection and Crime Prevention, alongside Colonel Dr. Saif Lakhrebani Al Nuaimi, Deputy Director General, and included officers from the Ministry, police department directors, and representatives from strategic partner organizations.
Key objectives of the workshop included developing a unified vision for federal-level crime prevention, adopting proactive community initiatives to enhance security, empowering partnerships in community protection, and transforming societal challenges into growth opportunities. A central feature of the workshop was a brainstorming session that examined effective methods for designing, launching, and evaluating community initiatives.
Participants were organized into four discussion groups to propose preventive initiatives, define partner roles, and identify community-specific challenges. Each group shared its proposals, with leadership providing feedback on each initiative and discussing potential challenges. Recommendations and key outputs from the workshop will be compiled for approval, paving the way for implementation of the initiatives and their corresponding action plans.
