Second Session of MOI’s Ramadan Councils Discuss “the Emirati Value System”

Under the esteemed patronage of Lt. General HH Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Interior, the second session of the Ministry of Interior’s Ramadan councils kicked off yesterday (Friday), marking its thirteenth edition. Rolled out under the theme Emirati society... genuine roots and global horizons, this session reflects the continuous evolution of these councils as a platform for community dialogue, guided by the visionary leadership.

The discussions, held at the state level, centered around the theme of the Emirati Values System, delineated into three topics: firstly, behaviors and ethics of Emirati youth ; secondly, the Emirati constants and national identity ; and thirdly, the reputation of the UAE as a national responsibility.

Organized by the Law Respect Culture Office within the General Directorate for Community Protection and Crime Prevention, in collaboration with the Security Media Department in the General Directorate for Security Support, these councils serve as vital forums for fostering societal cohesion and understanding.

Abu Dhabi Women's Council: Genuine Values and Global Aspirations

In Abu Dhabi, the Women's Council was hosted by Noura Yousef Al Hammadi and moderated by media luminary Maitha Sabah. Distinguished speakers highlighted the heritage and authenticity of Emirati society, highlighting its deeply ingrained human values alongside the aspirations of the enterprising Emirati youth to contribute positively to elevating the prestigious global standing of the UAE.

Participants included HE Hashima Yasser Al Afari, Member of the Federal National Council; Hind Ibrahim Al Zaabi from the National Archives and Library; Lt. Colonel Dr. Amna Mohamed Al Belushi, Head of the Women’s Police Association at the Abu Dhabi Police General HQs; Maryam Mohamed Al Ahmadi from the Juvenile Awareness and Welfare Association; Dr. Badriya Ali Al Hosani, a faculty member at the Police College at the Ministry of Interior; and Moza Mubarak Al Qubaisi, a social worker at Abu Dhabi Police General HQs.

Al Ain Council: Ambitions Beyond Expectations

Meanwhile, the Al Ain Council, hosted by Saeed Abdullah Al Ameri and moderated by journalist Jamal Al Harbi, echoed the sentiment that the UAE's trajectory aligns with the sagacious leadership's vision, grounded in enduring principles and values. Speakers emphasized that the aspirations of the Emirati people transcend boundaries, driven by a spirit of relentless determination.

Respected attendees included HE Dr. Mohamed Muslim bin Ham Al Ameri; Colonel Sultan Al Ketbi, Director of the Law Respect Culture Office at the Ministry of Interior; Rashid Khamis Al Haddadi, Chief Prosecutor at the Public Prosecution; Dr. Ahmed Amin Al Mulla, Assistant Professor in the Department of Government and Society at the UAE University; Lt. Colonel Ahmed Mohamed Al Neyadi, from the Police Rehabilitation Department in Saif Bin Zayed Academy at the Abu Dhabi Police General HQs; and Issa Hamad Salem Al Shamsi, a preacher from the General Authority for Islamic Affairs and Endowments.

Dubai Council: Emirati Constants and the Generosity of Emirati Youth

In Dubai, HE Ahmed Hamad bin Sanad Al Suwaidi spearheaded the Ministry of Interior's Ramadan Council, moderated by media personality Fahad Heikal. The discourse celebrated the profound and enduring character of Emirati society, lauding the moral rectitude of its youth and underscoring the imperative of perpetuating the UAE's sterling reputation through altruism, dedication, loyalty, and the propagation of genuine values and positive conduct.

The panel featured eminent figures such as HE Dirar Humaid Belhoul, Community Affairs Advisor at the Watani Al Emarat Foundation; Brigadier Ahmed Mohamed Al Shehhi, Dean of the Dubai Police College at the Dubai Police General HQs; Dr. Abdullah Mohamed Al Ansari, Director of the Awareness and Support Department at the Erada Center for Treatment and Rehabilitation; Dr. Nasser Issa Al Belushi, Assistant Professor at Zayed University; Mohamed Shaheen Abdul Rahman, National Trainer at the UAE Football Association; and Khalifa Mohamed Khalifa Abdullah, former head of the Knowledge Department at Dubai Courts.

Ajman Council: Upholding the UAE's National Reputation

In Ajman, HE Mohamed Al Kaabi presided over the Ramadan Council of the Ministry of Interior, facilitated by media personality Raed Al Shayeb. Speakers emphasized the paramount importance of commitment, awareness, and the representation of the UAE in all spheres, urging adherence to national values and constants to reinforce the nation's identity.

Among the distinguished speakers were Dr. Salah Mohamed Al Hammadi, Chief Prosecutor at the Public Prosecution Office; Hashem Qasim Al Wali, Chief Executive Officer of Partnerships at the Ministry of Culture; Sheikh Sultan bin Mohamed Al Nuaimi from the Police Youth Council at the Ajman Police General HQs; Captain Khalid Mohamed Al Hosani, coach and lecturer at the UAE Football Association; and Saif Nasser Al Matroushi, a member of the Children’s Parliament. Also contributing to the discussion was Majed Saif Al Kaabi from the Police Youth Council at the Ajman Police General HQs.

Umm Al Quwain Council: Reinforcing the Emirati Reputation through Achievements

At the Ministry of Interior Council in Umm Al Quwain, chaired by Saqr Nasser Ali Rashid and moderated by journalist Ahmed Al Ghafli, speakers highlighted the UAE’s prominent reputation and its international competitiveness. They highlighted the nation's progress under the visionary leadership, emphasizing the pivotal role of Emirati youth in enhancing the country’s reputation and cultural advancement.

The council welcomed dignitaries including HE Mohamed Issa Al Kashf, Member of the National Council; Brigadier Sheikh Mohamed Abdullah Al Mualla, Director of the General Department of Leadership and Excellence at Dubai Police; Brigadier Saeed Obaid Saif bin Arran, Director General of Police Operations at Umm Al Quwain Police; and various other esteemed participants such as Rashid Abdullah Al Nuaimi from the Police Youth Council at Ajman Police General HQs and Saeed Adel Tuwarish, head of the Umm Al Quwain Youth Center at the Federal Youth Authority.



Ras Al Khaimah Women's Council: Nurturing Emirati Values and Traditions

In Ras Al Khaimah, the Women’s Council of the Ministry of Interior convened under the leadership of HE Amna Abdullah Dhaqeeb Al Zaabi and media director, Fadela Al Muaini. Speakers highlighted the enduring nature of Emirati values and the pivotal role of the youth in upholding these values, advocating for national community initiatives aimed at fortifying the UAE's reputation on the global stage.

Distinguished participants included Amal Humaid Belhoul Al Falasi, Community Affairs Advisor at the Watani Al Emarat Foundation; Major Moza Obaid Al Kalbani, Head of the Community Care Department at the Ministry of Interior; Maryam Ali Al Hott, Senior Family Guidance Specialist for the Courts Department in Ras Al Khaimah; and other esteemed contributors such as Captain Moza Rashid Al Hosani, Director of the Community Programs Branch at the Ministry of Interior, and Captain Maryam Rashid Al Ghafri, Director of the Press and Publishing Branch at the Ras Al Khaimah Police General HQs.

Fujairah Council: Upholding Inherent Values and Ethics

In Fujairah, the Ministry of Interior's Council, led by Sheikh Saleh Abdullah Hamad Al Sharqi and moderated by journalist Mohamed Obaid Al Naqbi, highlighted the robust foundation of the Emirati value system rooted in its Arab-Islamic heritage. Speakers highlighted the responsibility of Emirati youth in upholding the nation’s good reputation through their conduct, stressing that this responsibility is shared by all.

Esteemed participants included Brigadier General Dr. Sulaiman Saeed Al Morshedi, Director General of Human Resources and Support Services at the Fujairah Police General HQs; Brigadier Rashid Hamad Al Yamahi, Director of the Comprehensive Police Stations Department at the Fujairah Police General HQs; Abdullah Khalfan Al Hamour, General Supervisor of Community Councils at the Fujairah Foundation For Region Development; Ahmed Hamad Al Shehhi, Services Advisor in the Public Services Department of the Government of Ras Al Khaimah; and Ahmed Musa Juma, an imam and preacher in the General Authority for Islamic Affairs.
