MOI Joins Forces with Emirates School Education Foundation in Ramadan Sports League, Promoting Future Leadership Protection

The Ministry of Interior is taking part in the Ramadan sports league it organizes. Meanwhile, the Emirates Foundation for School Education is hosting an extended pavilion event under the theme "Together...We Protect the Future of Tomorrow’s Leaders" at the Zayed Educational Complex (Al Muntazi) in Ajman.
Spanning 14 days, the event will conclude on April 6. Brigadier Saeed Abdullah Al Suwaidi, Secretary-General of the State Anti-Narcotics Council, inaugurated the Ministry of Interior's pavilion at the event. The opening ceremony saw the official attendance of representatives from organizing and participating bodies, alongside various community figures. The Ministry of Interior's involvement in this national initiative, tailored for young women and school students, aims to bolster community awareness and promote a preventive mindset.
Through its participation, the Ministry seeks to promote health education regarding the perils of drug abuse, emphasize preventive measures, and underscore the family's role in fostering national identity among future leaders. The initiative also aims to identify protective factors, assess risk factors, and enhance children's physical, mental, and psychological well-being through the "Siraj" program. Furthermore, the Ministry aims to instill preventive awareness among students across all educational levels, as well as among family members, educators, social workers, athletes, and musicians within the educational sector.
The event features an array of activities and programs, including sports competitions in football, basketball, and volleyball, as well as tug of war. Additionally, there are preventive workshops for children and families, innovation labs, police demonstrations, heritage exhibitions, and educational contests. The Ministry's sessions and lectures cover topics such as risk recognition and avoidance, strategies for enhancing protection, resistance to external pressures, and the societal role in child protection. Participating departments from the Ministry of Interior include the General Directorate for Federal Narcotics Control, the General Directorate for Community Protection and Crime Prevention, the Medical Services Administration, and others.
The tournament kicked off with the participation of 21 educational schools, involving over 14,000 students and 920 educational staff members.
