MOI reviews solutions and initiatives of "zero bureacracy" at police general HQs

The Ministry of Interior convened to address the elimination of government bureaucracy at police general HQs in the UAE, aiming to bolster efforts in developing the zero bureaucracy program. This initiative involves designing a comprehensive methodology to confront challenges and implement innovative solutions to simplify and reduce procedures across government agencies.

The workshop, held at the Police Sports and Shooting Club in Ajman, saw the participation of Major General Khalifa Hareb Al Khaili, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Interior, alongside police commanders and senior officers from across the emirates.

Ensuring more customer trust in government services

Mohamed bin Taliaa, Head of Government Services in the UAE Government, emphasized in his opening speech the program's alignment with the leadership's vision for an integrated and innovative government system. He stressed the importance of engaging the business sector and customers in setting improvement priorities and procedural changes.

Bin Taliaa highlighted the program's objectives and the various forms of government bureaucracy it seeks to address, emphasizing the challenges bureaucracy poses to efficient decision-making within government agencies.

He outlined the three key stages of bureaucracy elimination, stressing the role of zero bureaucracy team leaders in promoting a culture of efficiency and building partnerships with regional and international institutions. He also emphasized the importance of reporting and coordination with the Prime Minister’s Office.

Salem Balyouha, Director of the Government Services Evaluation Department and Coordinator of the Government Zero Bureaucracy Program in the Prime Minister’s Office, provided an overview of the program's stages and standards. He discussed evaluation criteria, including impact assessment, stakeholder involvement, target compliance, employee empowerment, and technological innovation.

The zero bureaucracy program reflects the directives of HH Sheikh Mohamed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai. It aims to cancel 2,000 government procedures, halve procedural timeframes, and eliminate redundant requirements, aligning with a vision of facilitating people’s lives and fostering a business-friendly environment that attracts talent and innovation.
