Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic and rules around social distancing to curb the spread of the virus, the Ministry of Interior will be launching the nineth edition of its Ramadan Councils for 2020 virtually, using smart remote communication technologies.

This year’s edition of the MoI councils, held under the slogan, The UAE of the Future, Ready for the Next 50 , will discuss seven key topics notably, the Emirati Heritage’, wellbeing’, Resources of the Future’, Meeting of Civilizations’, The Age of Limitless Possibilities’, Growth and Sustainability’, and Safe Haven’. These seven topics will be discussed virtually during the councils, which will take place in each of the seven emirates and will be moderated by a prominent media figure. The councils are organized by the Law Respect Culture Bureau at the Ministry of Interior, in collaboration with the Security Media Department, the Electronics and Telecommunications Services Directorate General and various Police GHQs at the countrywide level.
