Federal Traffic Council considers a number of development proposals in traffic safety

In its sixth meeting in 2023, hosted by Sharjah Roads and Transport Authority under the leadership of Brigadier Engineer Hussein Al Harithi, the Council, attended by all members, deliberated various developmental and legal projects. These initiatives aimed to enhance the overall traffic environment on the roads.
Initially, the Council examined previous meeting recommendations encompassing legal amendments. These amendments pertained to vehicle classification, safety standards, prevention requirements, and the regulation of transportation methods. Additionally, the Council assessed progress in electronically connecting traffic violations across Gulf Cooperation Council countries and monitored the advancement of strategic indicators aimed at bolstering traffic safety.
Furthermore, the Council devoted attention to its own endeavors, encompassing projects and initiatives aligned with the We Are the Emirates 2031 vision. Notably, these efforts focused on key indicators and objectives related to security enhancement, infrastructure development, and the improvement of Emirati cities' quality of life.
