MOI Marks World Children’s Day with Inspiring Celebration
The Ministry of Interior, through its Child Protection Center, commemorated World Children’s Day with a series of engaging activities attended by Major General Khalifa Hareb Al Khaili, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Interior.
In his address, Al Khaili underscored the Ministry’s commitment to celebrating this significant day, emphasizing the vital role children play in society and the importance of creating a safe and nurturing environment for their growth and well-being.
He highlighted the Ministry’s dedication, under the guidance of the wise leadership, to safeguarding future generations by fostering an atmosphere that nurtures their skills and talents. He noted that this effort is part of an integrated system of partnerships aimed at bolstering child protection through various projects and initiatives aligned with the UAE government’s vision for enhancing societal security and safety.
Al Khaili also stressed the importance of global collaboration on this occasion, particularly in addressing challenges related to child protection in the digital sphere. He called for strengthened international cooperation, information sharing, and expertise exchange to ensure the safety and well-being of children, who represent the future of all societies.
He concluded by expressing gratitude to the event organizers and partners for their valuable contributions in achieving strategic goals and advancing national priorities.
The celebration began with a performance of the UAE national anthem by the Children’s Military Band, followed by a captivating video showcasing the aspirations of Emirati children. The program featured a traditional folklore show, a special segment by the UAE Children’s Parliament, poetry recitations by children, and an array of competitions, as well as educational and recreational activities.
