MOI Takes Part in the Mining Show 2024
For the second year in a row, the Ministry of Interior has participated in the Mining Show 2024, held in Dubai over two days with extensive international representation. The event attracted institutions and companies specializing in civil explosives for construction, demolition, mining, crushers, and other civilian applications.
At the Ministry’s pavilion, Brigadier Abdulrahman Al Mansouri, Commander of the Special Security Forces and Acting Director of the Weapons and Explosives Directorate, highlighted key advancements. These included cutting-edge technologies, regulatory frameworks, and safety measures for handling, transporting, and using civil explosives. The Ministry also showcased its best practices in securing and managing these critical activities.
Lieutenant Colonel Dr. Omar Al Zaabi, Acting Director of the Licensing, Weapons, and Explosives Department, emphasized the Ministry’s commitment to fostering local and regional partnerships. He noted that this participation aligns with the Ministry’s efforts to enhance security, protect communities, and advance the civil explosives sector by integrating modern technologies and innovative mechanisms. Collaboration with public and private stakeholders remains a cornerstone of this ongoing development.
