Saif bin Zayed Attends the Conclusion of the 8th Police Championship for Specialized Teams

HH Lt. General Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, attended the closing ceremony of the 8th Police Championship for Specialized Teams. The event, held at Al Ruwayyah Square in Dubai, was organized by the Police Sports Association and hosted by the Dubai Police General HQs.

His Highness observed the final day’s competitions, which showcased the participation of 16 teams from both men’s and women’s categories. These teams represented various police general HQs across the UAE and the Ministry of Interior sectors. The championship featured intense and spirited contests, reflecting the teams’ high level of professionalism, physical fitness, and preparedness.

The four-day championship, which commenced on December 9, included five diverse competitions: Attack, Tactical, Officer Rescue, Tower, and Obstacles. In the overall men’s category, Dubai Police General HQs (A) claimed first place with 65 points, followed by Dubai Police General HQs (B) in second place with 59 points, and Special Security Forces Command (A) securing third place with 54 points.

In the women’s category, Dubai Police General HQs dominated, taking first place with 10 points, while Ajman Police General HQs secured second place with 3 points.

The closing ceremony, attended by several distinguished officials, including His Excellency Lieutenant General Abdullah Khalifa Al Marri, Commander-in-Chief of Dubai Police; Brigadier Mohammed Humaid bin Dalmouj Al Dhaheri, Secretary-General of the Office of His Highness the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior and Chairman of the Police Sports Association; and Brigadier Walid Al Shamsi, Commander of the Police College, culminated in the crowning of the championship winners. Senior officers from various Ministry of Interior departments and police general HQs were also present.

Brigadier Mohammed Humaid bin Dalmouj Al Dhaheri expressed his gratitude to Dubai Police General HQs for hosting the championship and commended all contributors to its success. He congratulated the winning teams and praised the technical expertise and outstanding performance of the participants. He emphasized the importance of maintaining high physical fitness and readiness among police teams and continually striving to enhance their performance levels.

Bin Dalmouj further highlighted the Police Sports Association's commitment to organizing championships across various sports disciplines and representing the UAE effectively at local, regional, and international competitions. He noted the remarkable achievements of UAE police teams, which underscore their efficiency and preparedness, and their role in supporting national sports teams. Additionally, he emphasized the strong partnerships and cooperation between the Police Sports Association and other sports associations in the UAE.
