UAE participates in the meeting of the directors of civil defense in Riyadh
The United Arab Emirates (UAE) participated in the 28th meeting of the GCC Civil Defense Directors Generals with a delegation headed by Major General Dr. Jassim Mohammed Al Marzouqi, Commander-in-Chief of Civil Defense at the Ministry of Interior, which was held at the Council's headquarters in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
The meeting discussed a number of topics on the agenda, including the memorandum of the General Secretariat and the decisions of the Ministers of Interior of the GCC States in the field of prevention and safety, the promotion of joint work and the exchange of experiences, and the presentation of experiences among the civil defense agencies in the GCC States.
They also discussed the mechanism of the celebration of the World Civil Defense Day 2020, which was adopted under the name of "Civil Defense and its assistants in each home" and the role of social media in delivering messages of risk awareness to Gulf communities, and it was agreed on the importance of holding specialized training courses in the field of fire and rescue To develop the capabilities and skills of the human element, and to upgrade the prevention and safety system in the GCC States.
The UAE delegation provided a detailed explanation of the UAE prevention code, including a comprehensive presentation on Hassantuk project for early warning of fire, the stages of its development and its contribution in reducing the rate of fires, injuries and deaths resulting from them. Protection of life and property. The main awareness plan of the General Directorate of Civil Defense for 2019 was also presented and a copy of it was submitted to the Council Secretariat.
The UAE delegation to the meeting included Brigadier General Mohammed Abdullah Al Nuaimi, Director General of Fire Protection and Protection at the General Directorate of Civil Defense, Colonel Mohammed Abdullah Al Takawi, Director of Media Affairs Department, Lt.
