Students at MoI Centers for Employment of People with Disabilities Celebrate UAE 45th National Day
The Department of the Ministry of Interior's Centers for Qualification and Employment of People with Disabilities at the General Directorate of Community Protection and Crime Prevention celebrated the UAE 45th National Day and the International Day of Persons with Disabilities.
The celebration, attended by Major Dr. Khalid Khalfan Al Ameri, director of the Department, comprised many activities, including a film featuring the huge achievements made under federation of the UAE, and a heritage dances show by the armed forces traditional band.
Al Sadara model school in Al Ain participated at the celebration by national poems, traditional songs and contests for the school children.
In the end, the director of the Department recognized Major Al Haj Mabkhout Al Hameli, Major Saeed Al Nuaimi, Hussain Al Ameri, a media person, as well as a number of employees and sponsors.
"Celebrating the national day is pride for both citizens and expats living in country", said Al Ameri. It is a lucky coincidence that we celebrated the International Day of Persons with Disabilities together with the UAE National Day, he added.
The UAE was among the first countries to sign the UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities in 2006. We praise Allah, the Almighty, as He has honored this country with wise leaders who are dedicated to serving the community in general and the people with disabilities, in particular, he indicated.
Present at the celebration were Major Salim bin Nukhaira Al Ameri, Major Mohammed Al Menhali, head of Irada projects section at the Department and a big number of guests and parents.
