Every year, during the holy month of Ramadan, the Ministry of Interior's Ramadan councils convene under the esteemed patronage, support, and guidance of Lt. General HH Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Interior.

These councils serve as a vital community platform where the Ministry engages with various sectors to discuss key issues aimed at enhancing the quality of life for the Emirati community. They foster a crucial link between government entities, institutions, and the community, facilitating a civilized dialogue among specialists, researchers, decision-makers, and community activists. Recommendations and proposals generated from these meetings are meticulously examined by specialized committees and presented to relevant authorities for further study, assessing their efficacy in advancing excellence and Emirati leadership.

The thirteenth edition of the Ministry of Interior's councils, themed "Emirati society... authentic roots and global horizons," commenced at the onset of Ramadan, with (21) councils spread across the emirates. These councils cover the enduring values ingrained in Emirati society and their pivotal role in fostering cohesion, with a focus on steering achievements towards international recognition.

Organized by the Law Respect Culture Office of the General Directorate for Community Protection and Crime Prevention, in collaboration with the Security Media Department, the Ministry of Interior's councils signify a commitment to fostering community engagement and reaching out to citizen and neighborhood councils nationwide. To facilitate participation, a smart service is provided through the moiuae smart application and the moi.gov.ae website, offering details, inquiries, and opportunities for hosting and joining these councils.

In 2024 (1445 AH), the Ramadan councils centered on the overarching theme of "The Family is the Pillar of Society," with discussions spanning "The Emirati Values System" and "Digital Communities." These sessions discussed authentic values, developmental characteristics, and global achievements within the Emirati context.
