The 43rd Police Shooting Championship Comes to a Close

Major General Khalifa Hareb Al Khaili, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Interior, and Major General Abdullah Mubarak bin Amer, Chief of Sharjah Police, attended the closing ceremony of the 43rd Police Shooting Championship. The championship was organized by the Police Sports Association at the Ministry of Interior and hosted by the Sharjah Police General HQs at the shooting ranges of the Police Sciences Academy in Al Khadra. It featured teams from various Ministry of Interior sectors, police General HQs across the UAE, and Gulf teams from Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, and Oman.

The ceremony and the crowning of the winners were also attended by Major General Thani Butti Al Shamsi, Director of the Saif bin Zayed Academy for Police and Security Sciences at Abu Dhabi Police; Brigadier Mohammed Hamid bin Dalmouj Al Dhaheri, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Police Sports Association at the Ministry of Interior; Brigadier Walid Salem Al Shamsi, Commander of the Police College; Brigadier Dr. Omar Mohammed Al Khayal, Director of the Police Sports Association Department; alongside heads of the participating Gulf delegations and several officers from the Ministry of Interior and police General HQs in the country.

Spanning ten days, the championship witnessed intense and fraternal competitions, where men’s and women’s police teams showcased their remarkable skills and abilities. Their performances were widely praised, as they enhanced physical and psychological resilience, strengthened their competitive edge, and reinforced the spirit of challenge among police personnel.

The event included a variety of shooting competitions, such as the Friendship Championship for Tactical Police Motor Skills for Men, the Elite Tactical Motor Skills Shooting Competition for Men, the Tactical Motor Skills Shooting Competition for Women, the Tactical Motor Skills Shooting Competition for Officers, the Speed Challenge Competition for Men and Women, the Sniper Competition, the Police Operations Rifle Shooting Competition for Men and Women, the Pistol Accuracy Challenge Shooting Competition for Men and Women, and the Speed Challenge Competitions for Men and Women.

In terms of results, Abu Dhabi Police secured the overall excellence shield for achieving the highest total points. The UAE team was crowned the winner of the Friendship Championship for Tactical Motor Skills (Teams), while the Kingdom of Bahrain team came in second place, and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia team came in third place. In the same competition at the individual level, Captain Ali Hassan Al Rahma from Dubai Police won first place.

In the elite men’s tactical motor skills shooting competition, the Dubai Police General HQs team won first place, the Abu Dhabi Police team came in second, and the Sharjah Police team came in third. In the same competition at the individual level, Captain Ali Hassan Al Rahma from Dubai Police secured first place.

In the men’s tactical skills shooting competition, the Dubai Police team won first place, the Abu Dhabi Police team came in second, and the Special Security Forces Command team came in third. In the individual level of the same competition designated for officers, Warrant Officer Hassan Al Jallaf from Dubai Police won first place.

In the women’s tactical skills shooting competition, the Abu Dhabi Police won first place, the Sharjah Police team came in second, while the Dubai Police team came in third place. Captain Hanadi Al Kabouri from Sharjah Police won first place at the individual level.

In the men’s police operations rifle shooting competition, the Abu Dhabi Police team came in first, followed by the Dubai Police team in second place, and the Special Security Forces Command team came in third place. Assistant Fayez Hilal Al Qaidi from Abu Dhabi Police won first place at the individual level.

In the women’s police operations rifle shooting competition, the Abu Dhabi Police team came first, followed by the Dubai Police team, and the Sharjah Police team came in third. On the individual level, First Sergeant Abeer Rashid Al Zaabi from Abu Dhabi Police won first place.

In the men’s pistol accuracy challenge competition, the Dubai Police team came in first place, the Saudi Arabia team came in second, and the Abu Dhabi Police team came in third. In the individual accuracy challenge, Lieutenant Mohammed Ahmed Al Suwaidi won first place.

In the women’s accuracy challenge competition, the Abu Dhabi Police team came in first place, followed by the Dubai Police team and the Special Security Forces team. In the same competition, Lieutenant Hamda Lashkri won first place for women.

In the men’s sniper competition, the Dubai Police team won first place, followed by the Abu Dhabi Police team, and the Sultanate of Oman team won third place. In the same competition, First Officer Saleh Al Marzouqi from Sharjah Police won first place on the individual level.

In the men’s speed challenge competition, the Abu Dhabi Police team won first place, the Sultanate of Oman team came in second, and the Dubai Police team came in third. As for the women’s speed challenge competition, the Sultanate of Oman team won first place, the Abu Dhabi Police team came in second, and the Kingdom of Bahrain team came in third.

The championship concluded with the honoring of winners and participants, reflecting the commitment of the Ministry of Interior and police forces to enhancing skills, discipline, and competitive excellence in the field of shooting sports.
