The Police Command Council Discusses the Project to Establish the "Readiness Center" System and the "Smart Traffic Speed Limit System"

His Excellency Lieutenant General Dhahi Khalfan Tamim, Deputy Director of Police and Public Security in Dubai and Chairman of the Police Command Council, chaired the third meeting of the Police Command Council for the current year (2025). The meeting was held remotely, attended by police commanders, senior officers, and officials from the Ministry of Interior. The Council discussed several important topics on its agenda and made relevant decisions.

The Council reviewed the project to establish the "Readiness Center" system, which is linked to the country's police commands and utilizes artificial intelligence and digital transformation to track the results and indicators of readiness across the Ministry of Interior in real-time.

The Council also reviewed the results of the road fatalities index per (100) thousand people for the year (2024), which demonstrates the UAE's progress to be among the top (3) countries in the world in the mortality rate index by the year (2031).

The Council reviewed the "Smart Traffic Speed Limiting System," developed by the Abu Dhabi Police General Command, and the best practices implemented in this field. His Excellency the Council Chairman praised this system, describing it as a unique precedent in the country. It utilizes artificial intelligence to control speed limits on roads based on conditions and weather, and alerts drivers to reduce speed and pay attention through an automated system powered by artificial intelligence technology.

The Council discussed the results of the strategic indicators for the first quarter of the current year (2025), the results of the Police Leaders Council's evaluation for the previous year (2024), the final annual report on the Council's work, and the most important recommendations and those implemented.
