MOI Celebrates Global Recognition and Distinguished Achievements
The Assistant Undersecretary for Resources and Support Services at the Ministry of Interior commemorated a series of landmark accomplishments that underscore the Ministry’s exceptional performance and enduring excellence across local, regional, and international spheres. These accolades, conferred in accordance with globally recognized standards and evaluation frameworks, reflect excellence in institutional leadership, the cultivation of innovation and creativity, the promotion of workplace quality of life, the implementation of pioneering initiatives and development projects, and the demonstration of dynamic and effective administrative practices. This milestone adds to the Ministry’s esteemed track record of sustained distinction and success.
In attendance were H.E. Major General Salem Ali Mubarak Al Shamsi, Assistant Undersecretary for Resources and Support Services at the Ministry of Interior; Brigadier Waleed Al Shamsi, Commander of the Police College; senior representatives from the Police General HQs and other Ministry sectors; Directors-General; and a distinguished gathering of officers and Ministry personnel.
In a global first, the Ministry of Interior was officially designated as a Transformational Leadership Organization under the International Standard for Employee Happiness and Well-being, making it the first government institution worldwide to earn this prestigious classification.
Moreover, the Ministry achieved a second global distinction by being classified as a Globally Distinguished Institution under the International Standard for Digital Customer Experience, positioning it once again as the first government entity to be granted such recognition.
In addition, the Assistant Undersecretary for Resources and Support Services Sector received a four-star rating for its maturity in institutional flexibility, agility, proactivity, and organizational culture becoming the first Ministry of Interior worldwide to attain this rating.
According to the results of the 2023–2024 Ministry of Interior Workplace Quality of Life Survey, the Undersecretary for Resources and Support Services Sector was named the leading entity in employee loyalty, while the Police College was ranked highest in workplace quality of life. The Assistant Undersecretary for Resources and Support Services Sector also received top honors for achieving job happiness, while the accolade for best implementation of happiness initiatives went to the Ras Al Khaimah Police General HQs.
During the ceremony, a number of exceptional employees were recognized for obtaining the globally unique Certified Innovator certificate an unprecedented credential that affirms their innovation leadership on the world stage.
Tribute was also paid to several project teams whose groundbreaking initiatives exemplified global best practices and innovation. Among the honored were the International Standard for Workers’ Happiness and Well-being Project Team; the Institutional Flexibility, Agility, Proactivity, and Culture Maturity Measurement Project Team; the Digital Customer Experience International Standard Project Team; the International Recognition of Three Sector Innovations Project Team; the Executive Team for Pioneering Project Management within the Assistant Undersecretary for Resources and Support Services Sector ; and the Integrated Management System (IMS) Project Team.
H.E. Major General Salem Ali Mubarak Al Shamsi expressed great pride in these achievements, affirming that they reflect the Ministry’s distinguished institutional standing and its pivotal role in advancing the UAE’s global leadership across diverse domains.
He emphasized that these successes are the direct result of persistent dedication, diligent effort, and the exceptional technical and professional competencies of the Ministry’s human capital.
He reiterated the Ministry’s steadfast commitment to empowering its personnel by providing the tools and resources necessary to pave their way toward leadership and excellence. Major General Al Shamsi further noted that the Ministry remains at the forefront of adopting best practices, forward-looking strategies, and innovative concepts that enhance institutional performance, foster creative solutions aligned with evolving challenges, and ensure operational sustainability. These efforts, he stated, contribute meaningfully to community well-being and are fully aligned with the aspirations and vision of the wise leadership.
