MOI participates in National Police Week activities in cooperation with US Police

The Ministry of the Interior actively participated in the National Police Week in the US, demonstrating its leading role in the International Law Enforcement Association (ILEA). During this event that entitled "A Police at the Nexus of Online and Climate Challenges" the Ministry and the country's police general HQs showcased their pioneering initiatives aimed at strengthening security, safety, and community prevention. These efforts contribute to maintaining the UAE's advanced position on the international stage in terms of competitiveness.

Representatives from more than 20 law enforcement agencies in the United States, as well as various international organizations, joined the activities of this national week. Additionally, delegates from the Ministry of Interior and the police general commands of the UAE attended the event.

One of the notable initiatives reviewed during the week was the collaborative effort between the Ministry of Interior and the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) titled "The Role of Law Enforcement Agencies in Combating Climate and Environmental Crimes." This global initiative highlights the historical significance of international police work in addressing these pressing issues.

Furthermore, the review included an examination of the joint initiative between the Ministry of Interior and the United Nations Regional Institute for Crime and Justice Research. This initiative, titled "The Role of Artificial Intelligence in Enhancing Child Protection," emphasizes the importance of leveraging modern technologies and advanced sciences to create a safe environment for children.

The Dubai Police General HQs also presented the role of the global police summit organized in the UAE. The summit aims to enhance international coordination, promote collaboration, and facilitate the exchange of experiences and knowledge among police teams worldwide, thus bolstering their capabilities.

Throughout the National Police Week, various activities took place, including international contributions, knowledge sharing, and the exchange of best practices employed by law enforcement agencies worldwide. Specialists and experts in combating crimes in all its forms also actively participated in these endeavors.
