The General Department of Legal Affairs at the MoI, in cooperation with the General Department of Punitive and Correctional Institutions, organized the first legal laboratory of 2023 with the aim of reviewing, discussing, defining and governing Federal Law No. (43) of 1992 regarding the organization of punitive facilities and introducing the necessary legal amendments to it in accordance with the best practices and internationally applicable standards and in accordance with the penal legislation in force in the country.

These legal and specialized discussions come within the framework of government orientation and preparation for the next fifty years.

Brig. Gen. Dr. Rashid Sultan Al Khader Al Zaabi, Director General of Legal Affairs at the Ministry, Brig. Gen. Saeed Lootah, Director General of Punitive and Correctional Institutions, Col. Turki Saeed Al Dhahouri, Director of the Legal Legislation Department, and a number of officers who are specialists in these legal fields, attended the event.
