With the necessary precautionary and preventive measures, the "40th edition of the Ministry of Interior Shooting Championship", which came under the patronage of HH Lt. Gen. Sheikh Saif bin Zayed al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Interior,, and organized by the Ministry's Police Sports Federation, is hosted by Sharjah Police in the shooting ranges. In Hadera, and will continue until February 24, with the participation of 11 teams representing the various leaderships of the Ministry of the Interior in the country, in addition to the participation of teams from of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Kingdom of Bahrain.

The start of the championship was attended by Brigadier General Dr. Muhammad Khamis Al-Othmani, Director General of the Academy of Police Sciences, Chairman of the Organizing Committee of the Police Shooting Championship in Sharjah, Brigadier Aref Al Rayes, Director of the Police Sports Federation Department in the Ministry, Brigadier General Dr. Omar Al Khayal from the Ministry of Interior, and Colonel Essam Abdullah Al Ali, Director of the Sports Training Center at Abu Dhabi Police , and a number of officers of the Ministry of Interior and the relevant Sharjah Police.

The tournament, in which 420 contestants are participating, will be held in 12 fields, divided between "specialized shooting" fields, "tactical shooting" fields, and "first responder" fields, with 12 specialized hypotheses that reflect the individual and collective skills of the participants.

The activities of the first day began with the "Friendship Championship for Police Tactical Shooting", included strong competitions characterized by tactical motor skills, It will continue until tomorrow, Monday.

While the other teams competed in the tactical motor skills shooting competitions for the category (men - women - officers) and the competition was characterized by enthusiasm in order to reach the first places to crown the gold medals.
