Preparedness Plans Reviewed for the First Day of Eid al-Fitr
The Ministry of Interior and the UAE’s police general HQs have implemented their security plans for the Eid al-Fitr holiday, ensuring the highest levels of safety and security while enhancing traffic flow across the country’s roads.
Brigadier General Abdulaziz Al-Ahmad, Director General of Federal Central Operations, visited the Ministry’s operations room, where he inspected the progress of work and overall readiness alongside the officers on duty. He also assessed the general state of preparedness. The plan, developed in coordination with relevant partners, included securing mosques and major prayer halls during Eid prayers and increasing traffic patrols on main roads, markets, and shopping malls.
The Ministry urged the public to follow traffic laws and comply with safety, prevention, and civil protection measures. It also called on residents to refrain from using fireworks and to ensure the safety of children, particularly near swimming pools and beaches. Additionally, the Ministry reminded the public to report emergencies by calling 999 at any time.
