Brigadier General Engineer Hussain Ahmed Al-Harthy, Chairman of the Federal Traffic Council, announced that the deduction of traffic points linked to the recently introduced "Accident-Free Day" pledge will occur automatically for all pledge participants. This will happen provided they avoid any traffic violations or accidents on August 28, 2023. This eliminates the need for individuals to visit traffic service centers in the country.

The Ministry of Interior and police HQs will handle these individuals according to the data from the traffic systems. Points will be deducted from the records of eligible beneficiariesck as part of the incentive to promote the objectives of the "Accident-Free Day" initiative. This initiative aligns with the start of the 2023-2024 school year.

Al-Harthy emphasized the ongoing importance of adhering to traffic laws and instructions. He urged the nation to consider this day a reminder and an awareness opportunity at all levels, including institutions, universities, schools, and the media. By doing so, it can become a nationwide campaign that advances the UAE's vision to be the safest region in the world.
