UAE Takes Part in International Police Cooperation Forum in Indonesia
The Ministry of Interior of the UAE participated in the Dialogue Forum on Police Cooperation for Mutual Assistance in Criminal Matters (MACM), held on the island of Bali, Indonesia. The forum was organized with the support of the UAE Ministry of Interior, in partnership with the Indonesian National Police and the ASEAN Chiefs of National Police organization (ASEANAPOL).
The gathering brought together a wide range of participants representing Australia, Brunei Darussalam, Cambodia, China, Japan, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, Timor-Leste, the United Arab Emirates, and Vietnam, along with the ASEANAPOL Secretariat and INTERPOL.
In its opening address, the UAE Ministry of Interior reaffirmed the nation’s commitment to advancing international police cooperation and information exchange to combat transnational crimes, including offenses involving children and environmental violations. The Ministry underscored the importance of multilateral partnerships in supporting global security and public safety.
The forum also highlighted best practices and experiences shared by participating countries, emphasizing the value of information sharing, coordination among police bodies, and collaboration in joint investigations. These efforts aim to enhance the efficiency and collective performance of security institutions in facing regional and global challenges.
The UAE’s participation reflects its enduring dedication to deepening international cooperation and consolidating security partnerships, a commitment that supports global initiatives to counter organized crime and strengthen international peace and stability.
