MOI holds ceremony for trainees in “Leadership Courses” and “Specialized Foundation” training programs
Major General Salem Mubarak Al Shamsi, Assistant Undersecretary for Resources and Support Services, attended a ceremony at the Ministry of Interior courtyard to honor several outstanding officers. These officers had excelled in leadership courses (senior, middle, and first levels) and specialized foundational courses, which were conducted during the first half of 2024 at the Police Sciences Institute and the Leadership Development Center. The training was organized in collaboration with Rabdan Academy and the Afak Center for Leadership Development.
In his remarks, Major General Al Shamsi commended both the training program organizers and the officers for their exemplary performance. He highlighted the significance of maintaining these high-quality programs and development courses, which are crucial for preparing and qualifying national talents. The courses focus on enhancing capabilities, honing skills, and equipping officers with modern knowledge and experience to achieve the highest standards in their professional and police duties. This effort is essential in fostering continuous excellence, creativity, and leadership within the institution.
The event was also attended by Brigadier Dr. Omar Ibrahim Al Ali, Director General of the General Directorate of Competency Development, and Colonel Fahd Al Hosani, Director of the Institute of Police and Technical Sciences.
A total of 315 officers graduated from the leadership courses across 11 sessions, while 188 officers completed the foundational courses through 8 sessions.
Major General Al Shamsi awarded certificates of appreciation to the honored officers, expressing his best wishes for their continued success in serving the nation. He encouraged them to apply the insights and knowledge gained from these courses in their respective workplaces.
