MOI and Police College Bolster Legal Awareness Through Workshop on Scientific Research and Legal Studies
The Department of Legal Studies, Research, and Follow-up at the General Directorate of Legal Affairs, in collaboration with the Police College, organized a workshop titled "How to Prepare Scientific Research for Legal Staff."
Held at the Ministry of Interior building, the workshop spanned two stages and targeted the legal teams of police leadership at the Federal Police School in Sharjah, as well as relevant ministry officers and personnel. The primary objective was to enhance legal awareness and foster a research-driven culture among staff, focusing on the preparation of scientific legal studies that address pressing issues and challenges faced by police leaders.
Participants explored ways to develop frameworks for analyzing research findings and formulating actionable recommendations, all aimed at advancing legislation and finding practical solutions to operational challenges. Key topics included the foundational principles of conducting legal research, the essential steps of scientific writing, the creation of research plans, and the methodologies necessary for data collection and analysis. The ultimate goal was to equip participants with the skills to produce meaningful results and propose innovative development strategies.
The Ministry of Interior stressed the importance of continuously improving performance across all sectors, particularly those related to security and policing.
