HE Major General Dr. Jassim Mohamed Al Marzooqi, the Commander-in-Chief of Civil Defense at the Ministry of Interior, hosted a delegation from the Kingdom of Bahrain led by Brig. General Pilot Ali Mohamed Al Kubaisi, Director-General of the General Directorate of Civil Defense. The meeting took place at the headquarters of the Civil Defense Academy in Abu Dhabi, as a key element of the official visit of the Bahraini delegation to the UAE.
The primary objective of the visit was to gain insights into best practices implemented in the training and development of the civil defense system, as well as the operational protocols for handling communications and early warning situations. During the delegation's introductory tour at the academy, they received a comprehensive explanation of specialized training programs designed to support the strategic plans of civil defense. These programs focus on preparing, qualifying, and enhancing the skills of personnel, aligning with modern changes and future challenges.
Additionally, the delegation was briefed on the "Hasantak" smart alarm system, a collaborative effort between the public and private sectors. This initiative supports the Ministry of Interior's commitment to reducing fire incidents and streamlining response processes to unprecedented levels.
In Dubai, the delegation was welcomed by HE Major General Jamal Aded Al Muhairi, Assistant Director-General for Resources and Support Services, and HE Major General Khabir Ali Hassan Al Mutawa, Assistant Director-General for Fire and Rescue Affairs.
The Dubai leg of the visit featured a tour of the "Emirates Safety Laboratory," the first of its kind in the Middle East. This practical facility complements civil defense efforts in the areas of firefighting, prevention, and safety. The delegation also visited the operations room of the General Directorate of Civil Defense Dubai, where they were introduced to the Civil Defense Readiness room, utilizing artificial intelligence technologies to manage diverse communications with high professionalism. Furthermore, the delegation explored the technical workshop focusing on equipment and mechanisms.
The official tour of the delegation concluded at the General Directorate of Civil Defense-Ajman, providing them with insights into best practices concerning hazardous materials.
