On the occasion of Eid Al-Adha, Dubai Islamic Bank Donates 5 Million Dirhams to Al-Faraj Fund as Part of Farajat Initiative
Dubai Islamic Bank made a charitable contribution of five million dirhams (5,000,000 AED) to the Al-Faraj Fund of the Ministry of Interior as part of the Farajat initiative.
This donation facilitated the release of 108 financially insolvent inmates and convicts from penal and correctional institutions nationwide, coinciding with the blessed occasion of Eid Al-Adha.
His Excellency Khalil Daoud Badran, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Al-Faraj Fund of the Ministry of Interior, emphasized that charitable efforts and initiatives continue in the country of goodness and giving. He noted that Dubai Islamic Bank’s ongoing support enhances solidarity in the Emirati community and provides direct assistance to efforts aimed at easing the burden on inmates and their families.
Mr. Nawaf Al Raisi, Head of Community Support Services at Dubai Islamic Bank, affirmed the bank's commitment to supporting humanitarian and solidarity work. He highlighted the strategic partnership with Al-Faraj Fund, which enhances the Fund’s ability to achieve its humanitarian goals, helping financially distressed inmates and aiding their reintegration into society as productive individuals.
