MOI Rolls Out “Executive Diploma for Innovation Leaders” in Collab with Mohammed bin Rashid School of Government
The Ministry of Interior, in partnership with the Mohammed bin Rashid School of Government, has launched the second edition of the Executive Diploma for Innovation Leaders at the school’s headquarters in Dubai. The launch event was attended by HE Dr. Ali bin Sebaa Al Marri, CEO of the Mohammed bin Rashid School of Government, Lt. Colonel Engineer Rashid Khalfan Al Kindi, Director of the Ministry of Interior’s Innovation Center, and several ministry officers, alongside members of the school’s administrative and educational teams.
The program commenced with an introductory workshop outlining key program requirements and providing tools for fostering innovation and positive change. Spanning six months, this academic diploma is part of a series of initiatives designed to nurture innovation among Ministry of Interior personnel. These initiatives are spearheaded by the Ministry of Interior Innovation Center, operating under the General Directorate of Strategy and Performance Development, in collaboration with strategic partners.
The diploma aligns with the ministry’s broader strategy to cultivate a culture of innovation in institutional work environments, support talent, and ensure the availability of resources and tools needed to empower and qualify participants. Through this program, participants are introduced to advanced concepts and innovation tools, enabling them to apply best practices and drive transformative change.
Dr. Ali bin Sebaa Al Marri highlighted the significance of the collaboration, stating: The Mohammed bin Rashid School of Government is committed to empowering national talent across government entities by equipping them with essential knowledge, global experiences, and tools. Our partnership with the Ministry of Interior to launch this program reflects our shared objective of preparing the youth of today to become the leaders of tomorrow. By fostering innovation and addressing challenges, this initiative contributes to enhancing institutional excellence, improving government performance, and strengthening the UAE’s regional and global standing.
Lt. Colonel Engineer Rashid Khalfan Al Kindi underscored the program’s design and objectives, noting: Developed in collaboration with a leading academic institution, the program adheres to international best practices. Its curriculum and references are aligned with modern work systems and government initiatives, ensuring participants are equipped with the expertise to lead transformational projects. By investing in their skills and knowledge, we aim to empower them to drive positive change and serve the community effectively.
As part of the program, participants are required to deliver an actionable innovative project with a clear and structured plan. This initiative aims to translate acquired knowledge into practical applications, fostering innovation and excellence in policing and security work to achieve global leadership in these fields.
